I want to personally thank you again for your stellar investigative reporting about Lake Michigan Carferry's S.S. Badger. Your work certainly brought significant facts into the light where the public could examine the truths which had previously been distorted and targeted to harm this historic ship. The S.S. Badger is vital to communities on both sides of the lake, and you may very well have helped save us from a looming disaster.

As we've discussed, my company produced and maintains over 100 high quality tourism websites to promote communities along Lake Michigan. These websites also include information about the S.S. Badger www.lakemichigancarferrycruise.comwww.manitowoccarferry.com and www.carferryludington.com --which we optimized in order to help the S.S. Badger compete against Lake Express.I measure traffic on all our websites on a daily basis. Although the effectiveness of our work has gained us significant traffic increases on most every site, the increase in carferry site traffic has skyrocketed beyond normal. There's been so much of an increase, I attribute the extra traffic to the buzz your publication stirred up regarding the ship. I believe that you created an awareness of the unfair attack against the ship. Your journalism reached those who already knew about the Badger, and then went even further to reach people who were unfamiliar with the Lake Michigan Carferry's history and appeal. I think you generated fresh awareness and interest in the ship, therefore more and more people are looking for information about the Badger because they want to personally experience a cruise. Your publication made a difference!Just think, Steve, you may have helped save hundreds of jobs and millions of dollars for the communities dependent upon the S.S. Badger. Wow. I think there must be a halo waiting for you."

"Recently, there has been quite a stir created by a magazine called “Outer Boundary,” published by Moose Track Publishing of Menasha, WI.

The periodical covers an interesting variety of outdoor topics, and in addition to coverage of classic wildlife, fishing, hunting, outdoor photography and related content, editor Steve Krueger isn’t afraid to tackle controversial subjects.  His recent article, “Attacking the SS Badger,” a review of various concerns regarding operation of the historic Wisconsin car ferry, S.S. Badger, is a prime example of one such story that has been recognized in many circles and is being actively discussed by a diverse audience.

Regardless of whether or not you agree with his views or conclusions, you can be assured you’ll find each issue of Outer Boundary offers an interesting variety of nicely laid out, well written materials readers are sure to find thought provoking, and the four color, glossy pages make Mr. Krueger’s quality photography appear to jump off each page."
